Russian special forces destroyed a special group of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which was trying to penetrate the territory of the Belgorod region. This was reported in the Telegram channel "Military correspondents of the Russian spring" ("RV").

It is specified that members of the sabotage detachment of the Russian Volunteer Corps tried to penetrate the territory of Russia. They attempted a breakthrough in the area of the settlement of Novaya Tavolzhanka.

“During the short-lived battle, a significant part of the militants was destroyed by our scouts, the survivors fled, dragging the wounded away,” the message says.

On June 1, the Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region came under massive shelling from Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense reported that up to two motorized infantry companies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reinforced with tanks, attempted to break through. Up to 70 Ukrainian soldiers and five tanks took part in the attack.
