Microsoft has updated the popular graphics editor Paint. This is reported on the Windows Blog.

According to corporate representative Dave Grohoki, the updated Paint appeared in an early version of Windows 11 under the number 11.2304.17.0. One of the main features of the editor turned out to be a dark theme, which automatically adapts to the design of the operating system - you can also enable this option manually.

In addition, Paint has added the ability to fit the program interface to the screen size, allowing you to quickly optimize the scale according to the size of the window. “The classic presets are still available, but now you can also zoom in and out with finer steps of detail,” Grohoki said.

The Image Properties dialog boxes have been updated to match the new design of Windows 11. Microsoft developers have also added support for shortcuts so that you can work efficiently in Paint using the keyboard.

Microsoft Paint is a raster graphics editor included with all Windows operating systems. The first version of the editor appeared in Windows 1.0x, which was released in 1985.

Microsoft showed the current design of the Paint graphics editor in August 2021. Updated Paint received rounded corners, which correspond to the design concept of Fluent Design, and new buttons.
