Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan is not an ally of Moscow in the conflict in Ukraine. He announced this in an interview with CNN Prima News, the recording is available on the YouTube channel of the Armenian government.

According to Pashinyan, Armenia is concerned that the West has a different opinion on the position of Yerevan. Misunderstandings affect all relations of the country, he stressed.

“In the war with Ukraine, we are not an ally of Russia,” the prime minister assured.

The politician added that Yerevan is maneuvering not because it has no opinion on the situation, but because the country "has too many worries to solve other people's problems."

Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that Yerevan cannot keep ethnic Armenians from participating in a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. “There are no mechanisms to keep Armenians — citizens of the Russian Federation and Ukraine — from these actions, since they are citizens of specific states that have rights and obligations,” the diplomat said.
