20:30 01.06.2023 Science

The new F-100 and F-110 frigates of the Spanish Navy will begin receiving Naval Strike Missiles (NSM) in 2027. It is reported by Defense News.

It is expected that in time the receipt of the first batch of NSM will coincide with the commissioning of the first F-110 frigate.

The publication emphasizes that NSMs should replace Harpoons missiles (“Harpoon”) - in 2030, when the Spanish fleet receives all NSMs, Harpoons will be decommissioned. The number of NSMs that the Spanish Navy will receive is not reported.
