The frozen conflict between Moldova and the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic (PMR) will be resolved after the end of hostilities in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said. His words are transmitted by the Sputnik Moldova Telegram channel.

“The frozen conflict in the Republic of Moldova will be resolved when Ukraine wins the war,” Zelensky said at the European Political Community summit in Chisinau.

At the same summit, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that Moldova ruled out giving up Transnistria in the process of integration into the European Union (EU). She is also sure that after the implementation of the EU recommendations, living conditions in the republic will improve and Moldova will become more attractive for residents of the left bank of the Dniester, which will simplify the unification.
