The Armed Forces (AF) of Russia will receive a new system of electronic warfare (EW) "Parodist". This is reported by Izvestia.

As specified in the military department, the Southern Military District will receive the newest complex. It is noted that the system is designed to suppress the operation of aircraft onboard radars, as well as aviation communication systems and automatic control systems. Appearance, as well as the characteristics of electronic warfare in the public domain are not available, the newspaper writes.

According to military expert Alexei Leonkov, there are various ranges that are distributed between sources. However, he stressed that it is easier to work with a Parodist for specific purposes. “You can, of course, press all the ranges at once, but the effectiveness in this case is low,” he added.

Earlier, the Russian military began to use the latest main tanks T-14 "Armata" for attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU).
