The American company SpaceX has carried out 200 accident-free launches of the Falcon 9 rocket in a row. ArsTechnica writes about this.

The last launch of the Falcon 9 took place on May 31, when 52 Starlink spacecraft were launched into low Earth orbit.

The publication notes that the record for the number of accident-free launches made in a row some time ago belonged to the Soviet Soyuz-U rocket, which made 100 successful launches from 1983 to 1986.

In April, SpaceX launched the first ten satellites for the US Department of Defense to track hypersonic missiles.

In October 2022, Derek Turner, director of the US Space Forces space development agency, said that the destruction of a few of about 3,500 Starlink satellites would not interfere with the stability of the entire space constellation.
