The American corporation Tesla has banned drivers and passengers from running video games in cars while driving. This is reported by The Verge.

Media journalists referred to a report by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which was investigating the function of video games in the brand's cars. According to experts, Tesla will not have to recall its cars, as the company has disabled the video game function in its electric cars.

The Passenger Play feature allows you to run games from the Tesla Arcade catalog on the media screen in the car. Previously, the automaker had no control over this option, so the driver behind the wheel could play video games while driving. In the latest update for electric vehicles, Tesla has added an option that prohibits running games on the go.

According to The Verge experts, earlier, when trying to launch games, a warning appeared on the screen that it was unsafe to use them while driving. However, in fact, nothing prevented the driver from violating the rules of the road.

In December 2021, journalists from Gizmodo called Tesla cars dangerous because of the game launch function in the cabin. Then the electric car manufacturer did not comment on the criticism in the media.
