Russia's first full-fledged stealth corvette of project 20386 is being redesigned, RIA Novosti writes, citing a source.

According to him, such a decision was made for additional study of innovative solutions implemented on this ship. “The project is not closed, the project continues, but shifts to the right for the period necessary for redesign,” an informed source explained.

He added that before making a decision on the construction of a series of corvettes of the innovative project 20386, experts will evaluate the effectiveness of work on the lead ship.

In June 2021, it was reported that the newest project 20386 Mercury corvette would be the first Russian ship to be built entirely according to the stealth concept.

It should hit surface ships with cruise missiles, search for and destroy submarines, protect ships and vessels from enemy air attack by anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs), and provide artillery support for landings. It also became known that Russian stealth corvettes will be armed with hunter robots.
