Any Russian anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) can shoot down German Taurus missiles with a range of 500 kilometers requested by Kiev. This was stated by military observer Alexei Sukonkin, quoted by NEWS.ru.

The expert noted that it is necessary to carry out reconnaissance using air defense systems and destroy missiles and carriers before the Ukrainian military launches them. In particular, radar stations (RLS) should be used for reconnaissance.

“If the radar is on a hill, then Taurus will be noticed in time, if the air defense system is located in a convenient position for firing, then any of our Thor, Buk, and Pantsir will work on them. And if at that moment the A-50 flying radar is on duty in the air, then Taurus should be noticed in any way, ”Sukonkin shared.

Earlier, he spoke about the most popular aerial bomb of the Russian Armed Forces. According to him, the Russian military most often uses the FAB-500 projectile.
