"The separation of the spacecraft from the upper stage was successful," the state corporation said.

The Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Fregat upper stage and the first Condor-FKA satellite was launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome at 00:14 Moscow time.

"Kondor-FKA" is designed for all-weather radar remote sensing of the Earth. Earlier, the representative of the state corporation Vitaly Mironichev stated that the launch of the second Condor-FKA satellite is scheduled for 2024.
