American businessman, head of the social network Twitter Elon Musk predicted the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for military purposes. It is reported by Sky News.

The billionaire said that throughout the world, artificial intelligence will be used primarily for the development of weapons.

“Having a perfect weapon on the battlefield that reacts faster than any human is really what artificial intelligence is capable of,” he said.

Musk stressed that the main model for the use of neural networks by the military will be to control armies of drones. “Future wars between developed countries, or at least countries with a large number of unmanned aerial vehicles, will be largely AI drone wars,” the entrepreneur said.

At the end of March, Elon Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and more than a thousand experts in the field of high technology and artificial intelligence signed an open letter calling for the suspension of neural network training due to risks. The letter argues that technologies with human-like artificial intelligence can pose a significant risk to society and humanity.
