The ship strike group of the Baltic Fleet, which included small missile ships (RTOs) "Odintsovo" and "Sovetsk" of the Baltic Naval Base, performed a missile firing complex in the Baltic Sea as part of a training session. This was reported by the press service of the Western Military District.

“As part of a planned training, specialists of missile and artillery combat units of RTOs performed electronic (conditional) single and salvo launches at designated targets simulating detachments of warships, as well as the accumulation of military equipment and manpower, launchers of missile systems, airfields, transport interchanges, protected facilities and command posts of a mock enemy," the statement said.

It is noted that as a result of electronic launches, all designated targets were successfully hit. Shooting was carried out in a complex interference environment, which was artificially created to complicate the task.

Also, in the course of performing combat training tasks, the RTO crews conducted damage control and anti-sabotage defense exercises during the stay at the base.

Earlier in May, the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Vice Admiral Viktor Sokolov, said that by the end of 2023, three project 22800 Karakurt RTOs and a patrol ship would enter service with the fleet.
