The crew of the Boiky corvette of the Baltic Fleet practiced the search and detection of a submarine, and also fired the Paket anti-submarine system during scheduled exercises at the Baltic Fleet's sea ranges. This was reported by the press service of the Western Military District (ZVO).

The Ufa submarine, which performs tasks at sea, was used as a mock enemy submarine. The crew of the submarine was tasked with maximum secrecy to approach the corvette at a distance of torpedo attack and use weapons.

“After the crew of the corvette carried out activities to search, classify and track the submarine, the target was destroyed with the help of the Paket small-sized anti-submarine complex with practical firing,” the report says.

Project 20380 Boikiy corvette joined the Baltic Fleet in 2013. The corvettes of this project are designed to combat enemy surface ships and submarines, provide artillery support for amphibious assaults, and patrol the area of responsibility. Boyky received the Uran complex with X-35U anti-ship missiles.

Earlier, the press service of the Western Military District reported that the crew of the Boikiy corvette completed anti-submarine missions and artillery firing in the Baltic Sea as part of the development of elements of the K-2 course task.
