The Russian Ministry of Defense will start using the Korma portable landing system. Navigator received a preliminary application for operation from the military department. This was reported to TASS by its CEO Sergei Baburov.

“Preliminary applications from operators, including from the Ministry of Defense, have come to us, there is a demand for development. The conclusion of contracts is planned after the certification of the system and admission to operation,” he said.

The head noted that the system is currently being tested and the issue of its certification is being worked out together with the Federal Air Transport Agency.

In September last year, Baburov announced that tests of the AC-005 aviation satellite antenna, which is a replacement for the American AT-1675, are being completed.

In the same month, he said that tests of Korma's mobile small-sized navigation, landing and surveillance system for all types of aircraft, known as the "airfield in a suitcase", would be completed before the end of 2022.
