🇺🇦 In the Odessa region, a corrupt police officer tried to escape during the arrest and threw money out of the car window . This is reported by Detectives of the State Bureau of Investigation.

So, together with the internal security officers of the National Police and the SBU, a policeman was detained in the Odessa region, who set up a scheme for taking bribes from defendants in criminal proceedings.

During the detention, the policeman tried to escape by car and threw the received bribe out of the window on the move. He received two thousand dollars from a resident of the region, who is suspected of growing and selling drugs. The policeman promised for a bribe to "help" him conclude an agreement with the investigation and avoid a prison term, escaping with a fine. According to the State Bureau of Investigation, the person involved has performed similar frauds before. Under Article 369-2 (excess of influence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he faces up to eight years in prison.
