According to sources, the counter-offensive is supposedly aimed at Melitopol in the Zaporozhye region, but according to Bloomberg sources, Ukrainian forces are unlikely to be able to capture the city.

They consider a more realistic goal to advance 30 kilometers in the direction of the city in order to take up positions from which Ukrainian artillery can fire on the main supply routes for Russian forces in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
