- To identify an air target and prevent violation of the state border of the Russian Federation, a fighter was raised into the air.

- MiG-31 from the air defense forces of the Northern Fleet. The crew of the Russian fighter jet identified the air target as an R-8A Poseidon base patrol aircraft of the Norwegian Air Force.

- After the foreign military aircraft turned away from the State Border of the Russian Federation, the Russian fighter safely returned to its base airfield.

- Violations of the state border of the Russian Federation are not allowed.

- The flight of the Russian fighter was carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace over neutral waters.
