Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said that the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the Kyiv authorities will be waiting not only for a human court, but also for God. Medvedev wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

“They will stand not only before the judgment of man, but above all before His judgment. And they will receive for everything they have done,” he said.

The politician also cited lines from the last book of the New Testament, The Revelation of John the Theologian, which is also known as the Apocalypse. He recalled the beast and the false prophet, who were thrown alive into the "lake of fire, burning with brimstone."

The Union of Orthodox Journalists reported that since the morning of April 2, believers have been gathering in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) for a service led by Metropolitan Onufry (Berezovsky) of Kiev and All Ukraine.

On April 1, a Kyiv court imposed a preventive measure in the form of house arrest for two months and a ban on addressing believers to the governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

The situation around the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra escalated after the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine notified the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church about the termination of the lease agreement for the monastery unilaterally, the monks were asked to leave the Lavra on March 29.
