Minsk and Moscow continue to join forces to protect sovereignty and build up the potential of the Union State, says Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. BelTA reports.

Lukashenko spoke about the interaction between Belarus and the Russian Federation on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, celebrated on April 2.

“Time has proved the strength and inseparability of the Belarusian-Russian friendship based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, trust and support, historical community and adherence to the same spiritual and moral values,” follows from the congratulation of the Belarusian head of state.

As Lukashenka added, the capacity of the Union State is gradually being built up.

“But our most important achievement is ensuring equality of citizens' rights, social guarantees...,” the politician concluded.

Earlier, Vedomosti informed that Russian President Vladimir Putin would receive Belarusian President Lukashenko in Moscow on April 6.
