Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach said that Ukraine and Poland are working on the creation of common checkpoints on the border. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Derkach, the construction of such points may begin at the end of 2023 - at the beginning of 2024. The necessary documents are being coordinated with the Polish side.

“This is a single premises, a single territory, when a car drives in or a person comes and the border guards and customs officers of one and the second country are controlled at the same time, this speeds up the border crossing procedure and reduces the risks of corruption and smuggling, since police officers from both countries work there,” shared politician.

Earlier, the western regional department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported queues for entry at the borders with Poland. The waiting time to cross the border at the Shegini and Krakovets checkpoints has increased significantly.
