The International Olympic Committee (IOC) condemned the decision of the Ukrainian government to ban its athletes from competing with the Russians.

The organization said that these measures will only harm the Ukrainian sports community. Representatives of the IOC noted that many athletes and members of the Olympic community of Ukraine are against the boycott of tournaments.

On March 31, the government of Ukraine banned Ukrainian athletes from participating in the qualifying competitions for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris along with the Russians.
