The ancient library of Tibet contains 84,000 manuscripts, including over 1,000 years of human history before Kublai Khan, when the library is believed to have been fully assembled. It is 60 meters long and 10 meters high. According to the latest known information, only about 5% of the manuscripts in the library have been translated, and 0.6% have been published.

Since the discovery in 2003, the Chinese Tibetan Academy of Social Sciences has been studying the untouched library for hundreds of years, while access to the data of the academy's work was practically not shown to the public.
