The United States is seeking the G7 countries to take joint action against China if China exerts pressure on G7 partners. This is reported by the Japanese edition of Nikkei Asia.

The US is pushing the G-7 countries to take joint action against China if Beijing resorts to economic coercion against the G-7 partners.

According to the publication, the US government, together with Congress, are discussing bills to increase tariffs.

Earlier it was reported that the US authorities began to find out whether their partners are ready to impose sanctions against China in the case of Russian assistance. First of all, the United States is discussing this issue with the G7 countries. According to sources, informal contacts are being conducted, in particular, at the level of finance ministers. At the same time, it is noted that at this stage of discussions, the parties have not yet reached any agreements on possible measures against China.

A few days ago, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington would not hesitate to take action against Chinese companies and individuals providing military support to the Russian Federation or violating sanctions.
