Metropolitan Pavel ordered to serve house arrest away from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) Pavel must serve house arrest away from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra with an electronic bracelet. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian edition "Strana.ua".

In accordance with the court decision, the governor was ordered to serve a measure of restraint at the place of residence in the village of Voronkov, Boryspil district, Kyiv region.

At the same time, the court rejected the request of the Metropolitan's defense to attend services in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. At the same time, according to the publication, Pavel is allowed to continue recording video messages with subsequent publication. The prosecutor's office insisted on the prohibition of these actions.

The clergyman is suspected of inciting religious hatred and working for Russia - such an accusation was brought against him by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on April 1.
