A compact version of the Harpoon-3 handheld anti-drone system is being developed in Russia. This was reported by TASS with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies.

The interlocutor of the agency noted that the new version will limit the frequencies, and the suppression range could be about 600 meters. “But given the experience of using a gun in a special operation in Ukraine, the frequency of 900 MHz, at which FPV drones fly, will definitely be present,” the source said.

According to him, the developers of the compact version expect it to weigh no more than three kilograms.

Earlier, Ruselectronics holding reported that the first customers of the Serp-VS5 anti-drone complex were enterprises in the fuel and energy complex and the machine-building sector. The range of the system is five kilometers.

In October 2022, a TASS source said that the Russian military was successfully using the Harpoon-3 anti-drone systems during a special military operation.
