SpaceX cancels Falcon 9 launch

The American company SpaceX canceled the launch of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle with a batch of military spacecraft a few seconds before the launch. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Spaceflight Now.

It is noted that the launch from the Vandenberg space center in California was canceled three seconds before the launch. The Falcon 9 rocket carries a batch of ten ballistic missile tracking and relay satellites for the US Space Force.

Preparations for the launch of the Tranche 0 mission went according to plan, but the countdown was stopped. The reasons for the cancellation of the launch have not yet been reported. A new launch attempt is scheduled for March 31 at 17:29 Moscow time.

The satellites are planned to be launched into orbit with a height of about a thousand kilometers. In total, the Pentagon Space Development Agency plans to launch more than 200 vehicles in the next couple of years, which will improve the ability to detect, track and intercept missiles.

Earlier, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said that some of the latest Starlink V2 satellites from the first batch, which was launched on February 27, require information from low Earth orbit.
