The upgraded self-propelled anti-tank gun (SPTP) 2S25M Sprut-SDM1 was recommended for adoption by the Russian army. "Kurganmashzavod" (part of the holding "High-precision complexes" of the state corporation "Rostec") is ready for serial production of the product. This was reported in the holding, reports TASS.

“The 2S25M self-propelled anti-tank gun has successfully passed state tests and is recommended for adoption by the Russian army. In the near future, we are ready to start serial production of the product, and relevant studies are being carried out with the Russian Ministry of Defense, ”the report says.

A floating vehicle with bulletproof armor received a 2A75-1 smoothbore gun of 125 mm caliber. First of all, 2S25M is created for the Russian Airborne Forces.

In February 2022, the head of the R&D department of Kurganmashzavod, Sergey Kotelevsky, said that the Sprut-SDM1 gun could be aimed from another vehicle.
