A doctor from the Czech Republic, who, as part of an international group of doctors, helped the wounded military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), was seriously injured. This happened on the line of contact in the Donbass, TASS reports with reference to Czech Radio.

Artillery shrapnel caused serious damage to the man when he tried to carry the wounded man out of the shelling zone. According to sources, the state of the Czech physician was stabilized, but it is still assessed as serious. In this regard, the victim is planned to be transported to the Czech Republic for treatment.

Earlier, a medical worker from the United States was wounded on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic. It was clarified that he suffered from an explosion of ammunition when he burned the belongings of the dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in one of the medical institutions. At the same time, according to the lieutenant colonel of the People's Militia of the LPR, a technical worker of the building was injured incompatible with life.
