As specified, the exercises were held on March 16 and 17. Formations of an interethnic detachment of warships, joint tactical maneuvering in various types of formations and battle orders were worked out. The sailors practiced artillery shooting during the day at a target located on the water.

At night, air targets were hit. The exercise included working out the procedure for releasing a captured ship with hostages, as well as providing assistance to a ship that is wrecked, the Northern Fleet said.
